An XMUT delegation led by CPC Deputy Secretary Lin Zhicheng visited the University of Western Australia (UWA), Australia from March 12 to 20.Delegates included heads of School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, School of International Languages, and International Office of XMUT.
UWA is a member of the Group of Eight, a coalition of the largest and the oldest universities in Australia. It is in the top 1% of the world's universities, with its research currently ranked 96th on the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). To date, it has produced 100Rhodes Scholars, oneNobel Prize laureateand oneAustralian Prime Minister.It is the second largest in the country in terms of range of research and it heads most Australian universities in terms of acquisition of ull-time employment by fresh graduates.
XMUT andUWA has entered into a formal partnership to further research cooperation in the fields of engineering and humanities, and jointly prepare international talents in applied engineering, communication (digital media) and translation in a “3+2” approach combing undergraduate and graduate studies. According to the Agreement, XMUT students in the fields of study relevant, on completing their first three years of learning in XMUT, can enroll in appropriate master-degree programs in UWA and obtain XMUT undergraduate diploma and UWA master’s degree.
